It seems Chelsea may have actually started an effort to bring fullback Giuliano Belletti back to the club in an off the pitch role.
The news, which was first published by the Daily Star, is being confirmed by Brazilian outlet UOL.
The website claims that the conversations are in really early stages, and the London club still don’t know for sure what role would Belleti have.
The only info UOL has is that the ex-player would have a ‘directive job’, but the Blues are still ‘studying’ the possibility and haven’t decided a special position yet.
Belletti joined Chelsea on a move from Barcelona in 2007, and spent three seasons at the Stamford Bridge side, having won one Premier League, two FA Cups and one Community Shield.
The player returned to Brazil in 2010, and still featured for Fluminense and Ceará before his official retirement in 2011. He’s currently an ambassador for FC Barcelona.
