Earlier today we covered claims from the Turkish media that West Ham United have tabled a bid of €22m to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.
The 29 year old impressed during this summer’s World Cup in Russia and this has reportedly prompted West Ham, along with Everton and Liverpool, to make offers for the player.
A second source in Turkey has backed up the claim by saying the Hammers have made an offer for Vida. However, NtvSpor report West Ham have only offered €18m for the Croatia international, not the €22m reported by Sabah.
Again it’s claimed Besiktas are in no hurry to accept any offers at this stage of the transfer window and will take their time evaluating these bids.
There have been recent reports the Turkish club will sell the central defender for the right price, with Sabah claiming today they want at least €30m.
Besiktas stand to make a nice profit on the player after signing him on a free transfer in January.
