After being linked with half of Serie A since the end of May, Pedro Obiang has finally found a club ready to stick by him until they can afford his exit from West Ham.
That team are Bologna in Italy, managed by Sinisa Mihajlovic, one of his former managers, who had him at Sampdoria.
We’ve already covered a few articles about their interest in the Hammers’ midfielder, and the problem is the same as always: wages.
Despite this, the Serie A side haven’t given up on Obiang, as Gazzetta dello Sport explain that ‘research continues’ on the Equatorial Guinea international, presumably on how to get a deal over the line.
One thing appears clearer by the day, however, and that is one of either Godfred Donsah, who has some suitors in Turkey, or Adam Nagy will have to leave the club in the coming months for the Italians to afford the West Ham player.
The 27-year-old was a rotation option for Manuel Pellegrini last season, playing just 1404 minutes of football in competitions, spread over 29 appearances.
