Catalan newspaper Sport has carried several stories this week talking about Malcom’s future being away from Barcelona.
On Tuesday, they claimed Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in the Brazilian and that Spurs are ready to invest €50m to land him, while an earlier report from today suggested Blaugrana chief executive, Oscar Grau, predicts the winger ‘would be sold’.
Sport’s online edition has a report which explains the reason why the Premier League clubs are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who has struggled to find his way into Ernesto Valverde’s plans since joining the club from Bordeaux in the summer.
It’s claimed Arsenal manager, Unai Emery is looking for a profile similar to that of Malcom. His pace and ability to cut in while moving forward suits the former Sevilla boss’ style of play.
The report also suggests that the above mentioned reason also counts for Spurs, whose boss, Mauricio Pochettino, tried to sign him before he moved to Spain and would rekindle his side’s interest in the attacker, if he’s made available.
Malcom has time until end of this calendar year to change his situation at Barcelona and failure to do so could force him to push for a transfer in January.
