The Italian press continues to say that Manchester United have made some pretty big bids for Serie A central defenders lately.

A couple of weeks ago, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic was supposed to be the target. Outlet La Nazione claimed that La Viola rejected a €60m offer for the player.

Now this week, the rumour was turned down by Fiorentina sources, who claimed that there’s been no offers from the Red Devils.

As newspaper Tuttosport writes about Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, they say that both Manchester clubs have bid €65m for him.

Both offers were reportedly rejected, just like an approach from Barcelona. Inter Milan are said to have no intention of selling the player now, and in case they do, it will be for over €80m.

There’s big interest for the player, as even Bayern Munich are said to be in the race.

Now Manchester United are either offering over €100m for a duo of Serbian centre-backs for the January market, or some of the newspapers aren’t being entirely honest.
