Seville are expecting 100,000 Rangers and Eintracht Frankfurt fans in the city for tomorrow’s Europa League final.
That’s according to La Vanguardia, who cover how both sets of fans have already ‘invaded’ the city ahead of the clash.
They explain that Seville is expecting to receive up to 100,000 visitors throughout this week, in which forecasts predict the sun to be shining and the temperature to hit 40 degrees.
Thousands of Eintracht and Rangers fans have ‘already invaded’ the streets ahead of tomorrow evening’s clash between the two sides at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium.
Accommodation prices in the city have soared, with Tuesday and Wednesday nights ranging from €650 to €1,500 in a three-star hotel.
The City Council have already predicted full capacity on this front and believe the economic impact to be about €60m.
So far, there has been no reports of trouble from either Eintracht or Rangers fans, which is good news given the reports in Germany of Eintracht fans attacking their West Ham counterparts in the semi-final clash in Frankfurt.
Seville have planned to have things under control, though, with more than 5,500 police officers set to be ‘guarding the streets’ for tomorrow’s game.
