Scottish side Rangers are willing to give Alfredo Morelos a new contract, according to reports from the player’s home country media.
The Colombian version of AS reports today that the Glasgow club have been meeting the striker’s agents so they can set an improvement on his current deal.
It’s claimed that Morelos currently makes around £30k a week, and they want to make him happier at the club with a new salary.
AS writes it’s Morelos’ great season that has convinced Rangers to give him a new deal, even though the pay raise can’t guarantee his stay for the next season.
It’s said that if there’s an offer that pleases the player and leaves a big amount of money for the club, then he will certainly leave Ibrox.
Alfredo Morelos has 29 goals and 10 assists in 41 appearances for Rangers this season so far.
His current deal with the club runs until 2023, and it’s not clear if the new deal would set a new expiration date.
