Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is highlighted by Portuguese newspaper A Bola today.
Scottish fans can stay calm, as the 23-year-old hasn’t been sold to any Portuguese club so far, but the idea of a transfer is suggested by one of their journalists.
Paulo Teixeira Pinto brings an opinion piece which is called ‘the resistance, the rule and the exception’. He talks about Porto’s plans of not spending a penny in the January transfer window.
But there should be an exception, he says, and ‘as long as it came from Glasgow and it was called Alfredo Morelos’.
The Colombian striker has been a lot in Porto’s mind lately, since he had good performances in both appearances against the Dragons for the Europa League.
He first scored in the 1-1 draw in Portugal, then scored and made an assist in Rangers 2-0 win in Scotland.
There seems to be no action from Porto to sign Morelos for now, but given A Bola’s importance in the country, we wouldn’t be surprised to see this rumour grow after this article.
