Now Marcos Alonso is in the Spain squad, after so long watching from the outside and wondering if he’d ever get his chance, the country’s media will start taking a closer interest in him.
And that can mean only one thing for the Chelsea player… transfer rumours.
Marca’s Tuesday back pace has a snippet on the player and states there’s been a ‘down-pouring of offers’ for the player to leave Chelsea.
It sounds more like clubs contacting the footballer and his environment rather than the Premier League champions directly, and Marca state there’s been a ‘super’ offer made by PSG to try and convince Alonso.
Not only that, but two clubs close to the top of the Premier League are also said to have made their own attempts, and Alonso is very much presented as a man in great demand.
This could all have a lot to do with Alonso and his representatives looking for a good Chelsea renewal, and the idea of interest from others certainly helps that.
There’s been nothing in PSG’s local and best informed media about them going in strongly for Alonso.
