Liverpool will not do anything different when they face Manchester City this weekend in the best game in world football.

That’s according to former Reds boss Rafa Benitez, who has offered his opinion on Sunday’s huge clash at the top of the Premier League.

Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad tomorrow in a clash is likely to decide where the Premier League title will end up this season.

Pep Guardiola’s side are currently top of the table on 73 points but have been hunted down by Liverpool, who sit in second on 72.

At one stage this season, Manchester City had a 12 point lead, but Jurgen Klopp’s side’s relentless form since January, and a few slip-ups by City, have created yet another tense title race at the end of the season.

Tomorrow’s game will be crucial in deciding the champions, even though both managers have insisted otherwise, and Benitez believes it will be Guardiola who blinks first.

“Guardiola’s mentality will be to dribble and find space going forward; Klopp will do more or less the same thing,” he told Sky Italia, relayed by Napoli Magazine.

“We have seen Liverpool in recent years: very aggressive and intense on the restart. Now that they are also superior to other teams, they play more with the ball.

“So many times we talk about the coaches, but often the players are decisive. I think we have to make them grow to make them understand what happens on the pitch and make them more free.

“I would say yes (it’s the best game in the world). If we speak from a tactical point of view, not so much.

“We are talking about two attacking teams. They will both be playing on an open field and with the intensity that characterises the Premier League and with quality. That’s why it will be a must-win game.”
