Queens Park Rangers have joined the race to sign Dundee forward Greg Stewart. The 26-year-old could leave the SPL club before the transfer deadline, and has already been linked with Leeds United and Birmingham City in recent weeks.

The Dundee Evening Telegraph have claimed QPR are the latest Championship side to show an interest in Stewart following recent comments from Dundee manager Paul Hartley he expects fresh bids to come in for his star striker.

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is keen to bring in a right-sided forward after selling Matt Philips to West Bromwich Albion, and Stewart is an option open to the West London side.

Stewart has just under 12 months left on his contract with Dundee, but the club won’t be pressured into selling the player despite attention from the likes of Leeds United and Birmingham City.

Dundee recently rejected bids in the region of £300k as they won’t sell Stewart below their £1.5m, and are more than happy to lose him next summer on a free transfer. That stance may well change if seriously tested.
