Earlier on Sunday we covered claims from Spain on Diogo Jota to Wolves, a transfer which looks very close to happening.
Spanish newspaper AS, in their Sunday edition, reported that Jota hadn’t been especially keen to move to the Championship and join Wolves, but the club’s manager Nuno Espirito Santo has convinced the player.
Nuno and Jota worked together at Porto last season, with the player on loan from Atletico Madrid, and now it’s almost certain he’ll be leaving Atleti again.
Portugal’s Mais Futebol claim to have their own information on a possible transfer, and say it may not be a loan.
A temporary deal was assumed the likeliest outcome, but Mais say Atletico haven’t completely decided yet how they want Jota to leave, making it sound like Wolves would accept either.
Either way, the Portuguese news outlet expects Jota to Wolves to be completed on Monday, the latest former Portista to sign for the Championship club this summer.
