It seems it’s not only the French press who believes that Brighton & Hove Albion are winning the race for Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Portuguese media has also been following the case, as local league champions FC Porto were pretty interested in signing the player this summer.
On Saturday, newspaper O Jogo brings some information, saying that Lille should accept the Seagulls’ €20m bid for the 21-year-old.
The outlet claims that Brighton’s offer was way bigger than Porto’s, and even though the player wanted to participate in the Champions League, ‘the weight of the pounds’ changed his mind.
Part of the Portuguese media still can’t believe that Porto are losing a player to Brighton.
On Friday, a story from Radio Renascença had a bit of a rant about the fact that the European winners can’t compete with any Premier League side when it comes to an auction for players.
