Nottingham Forest’s deal for the Benfica midfielder João Carvalho is all agreed, according to reports from the Portuguese press this afternoon.

Outlet O Jogo reports that there’s a full agreement between the clubs and the player, and confirms the permanent deal which will cost the Championship side €15m.

The website claims that the transfer could still include some performance bonuses, which still haven’t been revealed by any of the parties involved.

João Carvalho was considered to be a great prospect at Benfica, and his exit is totally justified by the lack of opportunities he was having at the Lisbon side.

Even though the headline and most of the article is only about Carvalho, O Jogo confirms that Diogo Gonçalves is also moving to Forest, as previously reported by the Portuguese press this week.

The winger is expected to move on a loan spell, with the Championship side getting a buying option, the amount of which hasn’t been revealed yet.
