Earlier on Tuesday we covered a report from Marca which stated Kiko Casilla isn’t in Real Madrid training today and that suggests a transfer could be on the way.
The Spanish newspaper didn’t mention Leeds United at all, and whilst that’s not enough to set alarm bells off, it would bring more confidence for the move if they had.
Well, AS and Mundo Deportivo have some worry calming updates, and they plaster Leeds all over it.
AS also state the goalkeeper is out of training, with Luca Zidane likely to replace him on the bench against Leganes in the Copa del Rey. They say Casilla not being there is ‘presumably’ down to this ‘possible transfer to Leeds United’.
Mundo Deportivo give their slant, and say ‘Kiko Casilla can leave Madrid in the next few hours’.
He’d be going to the ‘Leeds of Bielsa’ after talks between the two clubs ‘intensified’.
The Catalan newspaper (Casilla is from Catalonia) believe a free transfer is closing in.
