As outlet Milan Live today writes about the Rossoneri’s wish to sign free agents, they end up naming several centre-forwards who could leave their clubs in the coming months.
One of them is said to be Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata, who ‘could say goodbye’ to the Serie A side and move abroad in the summer.
The report points out that the 30-year-old is ‘West Ham’s first choice’ for the next transfer window, when there will be only one year left on his contract with Italian club.
West Ham’s interest in Zapata isn’t anything new, as the rumours have been on for a while and a couple of attempts had been reported in January.
Corriere Bergamo recently claimed that the Hammers first tried a ‘dry loan’ on deadline day, before switching to a permanent move worth €32m.
Both were turned down by Atalanta, who didn’t want to rush his sale in the January window, and we’ll now have to wait and see if they end up being more receptive in the summer.
