Burnley are edging closer to completing a deal to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Jordan Beyer, according to multiple claims coming out of Germany.
Sport1 chief reporter Partick Berger took to Twitter to state the defender is on the ‘verge [of] joining’ the Clarets on a loan deal. He added the 22-year-old has already travelled to the UK to carry out medical tests with his new club.
Berger’s claim is echoed by Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg. The latter went on to state that it is ‘almost a done deal’ to take the player to Burnley on the deadline day.
According to Plettenberg, Vincent Kompany’s side are sorting out the last few details of the deal with the Bundesliga club. The reporter made this claim minutes after he said the centre-back is in talks to join the Championship on a loan deal.

The two journalists don’t specify whether Burnley have an option to convert Beyer’s loan deal into a permanent transfer.

Mönchengladbach have played five matches in all competitions this season. Beyer was left out of the squad for three of those fixtures, while he remained as an unused substitute in the other two matches.
