It seems Watford loanee Jorge Cabezas could soon leave the club on a new loan.

That’s today reported by Portuguese outlet A Bola, who says the striker is a target for Vitória Guimarães.

The piece doesn’t bring many details on the negotiation, only claiming that the signing of the Watford player is currently on the table.

It was in January this year that the Hornets signed the 19-year-old, as he was bought from Colombian side Real Cartagena.

Watford then decided to let him stay in his home country for a few more months, and loaned him out to Independiente Medellin until June.

The player even had appearances in the Colombian League and the Copa Libertadores, but that was apparently not enough for the Hornets to give him a chance in England. It’s also not clear whether he had a work permit for that.

Either way, Portugal has always been a good entrance door for South Americans in Europe, and a loan to Vitória Guimarães could end up being a good plan for all parties involved. Cabezas is tied to Watford with a contract until 2029.
