A Spor Fenerbahce reporter Ahmet Selim Kul has reported Fener will pay €7m in total to Aston Villa to sign Mbwana Samatta on a permanent deal.
Earlier today, the Turkish giants informed the Stock Market (KAP) that they had begun talks with Aston Villa regarding Mbwana Samatta’s permanent transfer, after the player has landed in Istanbul last night.
KAP is only informed when a deal is close to completion, and it’s something Turkish clubs are obliged to do.
Samatta has been heavily linked with a move to Fener, but earlier reports claimed the Turkish giants were targeting a loan deal. However, the Yellow Canaries are buying the player permanently from Dean Smith’s side.
Kul claimed that Fenerbahce will pay €7m in total to Aston Villa for the Tanzanian striker, as the final details between the two clubs are being completed at the moment.
This means Villa are set to lose €3m from Samatta’s transfer, as they signed the 27 year old from Belgian side Club Brugge in the January transfer window for €10m.
