As Richarlison’s departure from Everton continues to be a hot topic, especially in the Brazilian media, website UOL today features an interesting piece on the situation, where journalist Rafael Reis writes that the player should indeed be sold by the Toffees in the coming weeks, and his preference is to move to another Premier League side, such as Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s pointed out that Richarlison is already adapted to English football, and by moving to Blues or Spurs, he wouldn’t be ‘forgotten on the bench’.
The same doesn’t apply to Arsenal, though, as it’s said a move to the Gunners has already been turned down by the player himself, even though the reason isn’t revealed.
In case of a move to Real Madrid, things would be complicated, because he’d be fighting for the places of Vinícius Junior or Karim Benzema, unless he changes his position to the right wing.
Since Richarlison is focused on going to the World Cup, playing time is very important, and that’s why a move to Chelsea or Tottenham would give him more chances than if moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Regarding Arsenal, even though the reason for the rejection isn’t revealed, we could probably bet it has to do with their lack of Champions League football.
Over the weekend, we’ve also seen UOL claiming Richarlison is close on joining Spurs, as there are ‘advanced negotiations’ for a €60m move.
Now their most recent posts claims the full list of pretenders are Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
