Following the announcement that Darwin Núñez will be heading to Liverpool next season, the Reds now need to work out what they are doing with Sadio Mané.

The general consensus is that the Senegal international will head to Bayern Munich, who are very interested in signing the forward.

Negotiations have been ongoing, and there has been some optimism that a deal will get done, although it won’t be just yet.

That’s according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who took to Twitter to give everyone the latest on the Liverpool star’s future.

He said that he had been told the transfer to Bayern Munich ‘will work out’, but it won’t be ‘in the next few hours or two to three days’.

That’s because ‘there are still a few steps to go’, with ‘negotiations about the transfer fee ongoing’.

Down that end, it’s expected a solution will be found around €30-40m up front plus bonuses on top of that’, which will please Mané himself, as the Liverpool man ‘still wants to join FC Bayern’, and only them.
