Uefa have handed Milan a two-year ban from European competition after failing to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.
According to Marca, Suso is unwilling to continue at the San Siro since they are not playing in the Europa League next season.
The former Liverpool man’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, is said to have offered Suso to Real Madrid. The Spanish newspaper explains there’s a specific reason for this.
Suso was the part of Spain’s Under-19 side that won the European championship in 2012. Julen Lopetegui was in charge of the Under-19 side then and was appointed as Zinedine Zidane’s successor at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this month.
The attacker also made his debut for La Roja in 2017, when Lopetegui was in charge of Spain’s senior team. Real Madrid are open to the idea of signing Suso from Milan, but “everything depends” on the players that will leave the Spanish capital club this summer.
Milan’s local rivals Inter Milan are also believed to be interested in Suso, who it’s said has a €40m release clause. Marca claims the Rossoneri’s current situation could see them sanction the sale of the player for a fee lower than that amount.
Suso was a regular inclusion in AC Milan’s starting lineup last season and made 35 appearances in Serie A, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in the process.
