Tottenham and West Ham United will have a chance to sign VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic this summer, with both club and player open to a deal.
That’s according to Kicker, who say Stuttgart potentially staying in the Bundesliga will not affect his plans for the future.
The striker has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, having impressed for Stuttgart since a £1.58m move from Admira Wacker in July 2019.
Since then, he’s scored 23 goals and registered nine assists in 56 games in all competitions for the German side, a record that has earned him attention even though it is not, particularly eye-catching.
Tottenham were first named as suitors in April last year when it was stated they had ‘knocked on the door’ for the striker.
That was followed by a report in March that stated their interest hasn’t waned and they were ‘tempted’ to reignite it in the summer transfer window, with a ‘big courtship’ later mooted.
Kicker now provide a boost, explaining that Kalajdzic is ‘not averse to a switch’ should it be offered.
He is ‘being courted’ and would be willing to move before his current contract with Stuttgart expires in June 2023.
The German club ‘cannot and will not’ rule out a move either but expect a transfer fee of ‘around €20m’ if they are to do a deal this year.
The door, then, is open for Tottenham to get their man if they want him.
