Tottenham remain in the running for Stuttgart star Sasa Kalajdzic, having ‘knocked on the door’ for the striker last year.

That’s according to SWR Sport, who take a look at the forward’s future today and the growing belief he will be on his way out of the German club this summer.

They explain that Kalajdzic is ‘too good’ for Stuttgart, something the club are painfully aware of, given they are in the middle of a relegation battle.

Every good day for the Austrian is actually a bad day for Stuttgart as it pushes the striker closer to the exit door and ‘increases the likelihood’ he will leave.

With two goals in his last three games, there is increased speculation about Kalajdzic’s future, and ‘the rumour mill is boiling’ ahead of the summer.

The 24-year-old is considered an ‘investment in the future’, and several clubs, including Tottenham, were keen last summer before a shoulder injury ruled out a move.

That saw him stay in Germany this season, but the ‘big courtship’ has ‘long since begun again’, with it believed the interested parties are hovering once again.

As well as being a player who has plenty of development left in his locker, Kalajdzic is ‘agile, strong and capable of scoring goals’, all assets that make him very attractive. His contract also expires in 2023, meaning Stuttgart will have to sell this summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

The Bundesliga side are still set to make a profit on the player, who they signed from Admira Wacker for £1.58m in July 2019, although the extent of that profit isn’t made clear at this point.

Either way, it’s felt Tottenham, after showing interest last summer, will be in the running for his signature alongside AS Roma and potentially Bayern Munich.
