When The Sun and Don Balon both report the same thing it doesn’t exactly bring a lot of faith the story is true, but, nevertheless, the pushing from the pair is sure to make Yerry Mina to West Ham ‘a thing’.

The Spanish media have been reporting for a while that Mina is frustrated with his lack of football since moving to Barcelona, and the club don’t feel he’s ready to be a regular for them yet.

There’s also been cultural differences which have created issues, such as Mina dancing after scoring a penalty to defeat neighbours Espanyol, in what was supposed to be a friendly Catalan game.

A loan move to Girona has been suggested, with the player looking to ‘escape’, but it’s now claimed West Ham would be keen to bring Mina to the Premier League, and that would also be on a loan basis.

Barcelona would prefer Mina to move elsewhere in Spain and therefore become more familar with La Liga, aiding a return to Barcelona.

From West Ham’s perspective, it wouldn’t be a great long term plan. They’d be helping Mina get used to European football and as soon as he showed he was, he’d be straight back to Barcelona.
