Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic was left out of a pre-season friendly with St Gallen yesterday amid interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

That’s according to Die RheinPfalz, who say Kalajdzic and teammate Borna Sosa, who has also been linked with a move away, ‘trained individually on a side pitch’ rather than taking part in the fixture.

According to the newspaper, both players ‘could still leave’ this, with Kalajdzic linked to Wolves and Sosa with Atalanta in Italy.

So far there have been no firm offers for either player, something confirmed by Sven Mislintat, who is quoted as saying “De facto, no official offer has been received at this point in time”.

However, Die Rheinpfalz also confirm him stating that he was ‘receiving the first enquiries’ from a club for the striker.

Whether that club is Wolves is not made clear or explicitly stated, but they are the side to have been linked the most over the last few weeks.

Mislintat also confirmed that if nothing changes before the weekend, both players are expected to back in the line-up for the clash with 1. FC Koln on Sunday.

The fact both players have been left out of this game, though, is being seen as a hint the German side believes there will be developments. Whether it is Wolves making a big push, remains to be seen.
