Player landing in London today to sign for Crystal Palace – Set to have medical

It seems Crystal Palace and Flamengo should announce the transfer of Matheus França in the next few hours.

According to Radio Tupi journalist Marcos Coelho, the player has already flown to England to complete the move.

It’s claimed that the midfielder left Brazil on Tuesday night, and that means he’s landing in London on Wednesday afternoon.

Matheus França is said to be ready to have his medical with Crystal Palace, and the clubs are expected to make the move official between Wednesday and Thursday.

In the past few days, reports from the Brazilian media had already claimed the player had thrown a farewell party for family and friends, and then didn’t take part in Flamengo’s training session on Tuesday.

So it seems it’s all going according to plan for him to complete the move this week.

Crystal Palace are reportedly signing França in a €20m deal, with an extra €5m in performance bonuses and another €5m if he wins the Ballon d’Or. The Brazilian side should also keep 20% of a future transfer.

It was many times said Chelsea were also interested in the player, but the Eagles seem about to win the battle.
