A week ago, reports from Germany stated Manchester United have opened talks to sign David Raum this summer.
Four days ago, Hoffenheim manager Andre Breitenreiter admitted the club will need to sit down with the left-back if there is a transfer approach.
Manchester United continue to be named as a suitor for the 24-year-old.
The player, who is currently on vacation, has ‘aroused interest’ from the Red Devils and Borussia Dortmund. That’s according to Sky Deutschland, who explain Raum is valued between €30m and €35m.
With his current deal set to expire in 2026, the report adds it’s unclear whether the Germany international will continue at the club next season.
Erik ten Hag’s side and Raum’s other suitors will be encouraged by the fact Hoffenheim are open to negotiating his sale in the ongoing window.
“If a top club comes along, we’ll deal with it. There is no pain threshold for us. We’ll see how that develops,” Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen told Sky about Raum’s situation.
Manchester United have Luke Shaw and Alex Telles as the two recognised left-backs in their squad. Raum’s arrival would make that position overcrowded, unless one of the former two were to leave Old Trafford.
