Earlier today, Sport reported that Arsenal’s first proposal to sign Denis Suarez was rejected by Barcelona.
The Gunners were ready to take the midfielder on a loan deal with an option to sign for €25m, while the La Liga winners were either looking to sell him for €20m or loan him and include a mandatory purchase for the same price.
There is another update from the same publication as the Catalan newspaper now claims Suarez has already given his OK to Arsenal after Unai Emery convinced him to make a switch to the north London club.
Even though there are other clubs who have expressed their interest in the Spaniard, he now only wants a move to the Emirates, and if not he’ll continue with the Blaugrana.
Sport mentions the approval of player was key to taking the negotiations forward and then it is between the two clubs to agree a deal.
Suarez’s contract at Barca runs out in 2020 meaning it’s important for them to cash in from his sale soon.
