It seems that Torino’s attempts to sign Gianelli Imbula from Stoke City are starting to get serious. As reported by local newspaper Tuttosport, work of the transfer is now being done on a daily basis, as the midfielder is on top of Torino’s list for the transfer market.
Since the Frenchman stopped having chances under Mark Hughes, his relationship with the English club has deteriorated. That’s why Stoke are now convinced they will sell him, and will work on getting as much money as possible.
But clubs aren’t going in with big offers, and all the offers Stoke have received are of a loan with an option to buy, with the final amount not being very high. Torino are one of these clubs, and the strongest competition that concerns the Italian side comes from Galatasaray.
According to the newspaper, Imbula has already said yes to Torino, who are preparing to offer him a five-year contract.
It’s also stated that whilst Imbula has given positive signals to Torino, he’s made them aware he’s also keeping his options open.
