Destiny Udogie is ‘getting closer and closer to becoming a new’ Tottenham Hotspur player, according to Sky Italia.
On Friday, the 19-year-old was left out of the Udinese squad in their Coppa Italia win over Feralpisalò. This decision was dictated by the market as he is set to sign for the north London club.
It’s claimed negotiations between the Serie A side and Tottenham for the left wing-back are ‘now in the home straight’. There would be closure to this case at the start of next week.
Antonio Conte’s side and Udinese will agree a deal worth €26m and this includes a €20m fixed fee. These developments can see the Italy U21 international become a Spurs player soon.
The Premier League club will let the player return to Udinese on a season-long loan deal. Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City and Inter Milan showed interest in Udogie, but it is Tottenham who will be successful in overcoming competition to secure his signature.
Calciomercato.it also explain Udogie will soon become a new Tottenham player as their negotiations with Udinese is in the home straight. The latter will collect €20m plus €6m bonuses from the English club.
They further state the Italian’s sale to Spurs is ‘imminent’ and the transfer is likely to go through next week.
