On Tuesday afternoon, the Spanish media broke the news that Leeds United have agreed a deal with Valencia for the transfer of Roridgo Moreno.
Earlier that day it had been reported, also in Spain, that Victor Orta and officials from the Spanish club had been trying to convince the attacker to accept the move to Elland Road. Later reports said Marcelo Bielsa had been key in helping Rodrigo make a positive decision for Leeds United.
Late on Tuesday evening, Valencia officially announced an agreement in principle with Leeds. Some reports have put the cost at €30m plus €10m in bonuses, and others have gone for €35m plus €5m in bonus payments.
Andrea Radrizzani and Orta will accompany the player on his flight. The transfer will be official in ‘a matter of hours’.
There’s no indication on what happens with any quarantine requirements for those involved, but it’s quite possible a loophole is being used with relation to upcoming friendly matches.
