Another summer, another William Carvalho saga.

That’s how it’s been in the past three years, and we couldn’t expect anything different this time.

Even though there seems to be no Premier League sides close to signing him this time, the Portuguese media is already starting to prepare the scenario for a possible transfer, with Everton and West Ham being included in the race.

As Record has a big story on the player today, they dedicate a few paragraphs to the fact he could finally be leaving Sporting in the next transfer market.

William has been living an unconfortable situation at the club after clashing with president Bruno de Carvalho, and seems willing to play in a ‘more competititive’ league.

Meanwhile, Sporting would think that the next transfer window is the ‘right moment’ to make money with his sale, and the World Cup would help to increase his price.

Regarding new pretenders, the newspaper doesn’t seem to know much.

They recall that the player had ‘both feet’ at West Ham last year, but as we all know, the transfer collapsed. Everton also get a mention for having being linked to him this season.

William has never hidden his wish to play in the Premier League, so it won’t be a surprise when the Toffees and Hammers get linked again in the summer. Even because they are also brought by A Bola today.

The outlet today has a transfer special explaining all the possible destinations for the league stars, and as you can see in the image attached, Willian is linked to both Premier League clubs, besides Inter and Monaco.

Claims regarding Everton were made by the English press this week, so A Bola just covers it, but they actually surfaced last weekend in Portugal.

For reasons we’re unaware, Portuguese newspapers hate crediting each other.

Regarding West Ham, the rumours are obviously related to last year’s attempt.

Even though the midfielder has a €45m release clause at Sporting, A Bola claims the club will be demanding something between €30m and €40m in the summer, which could end up being a good chance for the interested clubs.
