Player close to personal ‘agreement in principle’ to join Liverpool – Reds have submitted offer to club

Atalanta star Ederson is close to reaching an ‘agreement in principle’ with Liverpool after they made a €45m bid for him.

That’s according to Sports Zone, who report that Liverpool have been following the Brazilian all season and are now closing in on getting him.

Sports Zone report that the 24-year-old midfielder is close to an agreement in principle with Liverpool over contract terms after they’d followed him throughout the campaign.

It appears they are pushing forward with an effort to secure his signature after a report earlier today insisted that they had lodged a €45m bid for him.

That came via journalist Jorge Nicola, who said the bid had been made but did not provide how Atalanta had responded to it.

Sports Zone don’t offer that information either but do insist that Liverpool are out in front at this moment in time as while Paris Saint Germain are following him, there is nothing concrete at this moment

There’s always time for that to change, of course, but for now Liverpool have a clear shot for the midfielder, whose impressive performances this season have been noted and seemingly convinced them to push ahead now.
