Celtic’s Luis Palma has struggled for regular game time under Brendan Rodgers, and Rayo Vallecano could offer him an escape route from Celtic Park in the winter market.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who state the La Liga side are aiming to sign Palma on a loan deal.

The winger starred for Celtic last season, but Brendan Rodgers hasn’t used him regularly this season as he has clocked in 233 minutes from 10 games.

Estadio say this is their own information and they’ve gathered it from sources close to Rayo Vallecano.

They’ve found out the Spanish club have ‘already reached an agreement’ with the 24-year-old for a temporary transfer but are yet to agree a deal with Celtic.

Rayo Vallecano would be working on securing a loan deal with a purchase option of €2.5m.

Three days ago, we covered claims from Honduras which stated Celtic have rejected two bids for Palma and are requesting at least €4m to sanction his sale in January.

Taking this into account, it remains to be seen whether Celtic will accept Rayo Vallecano’s offer that includes an option to buy for €2.5m.
