Ever since Antonio Conte left Tottenham by mutual agreement, Julian Nagelsmann has been pushed as one of the leading candidates to replace him.

The German manager is recently free to be approached as he was recently sacked by Bayern Munich, and many believed he could make a swift transition to London.

However, it appears that Tottenham, and other clubs who might be interested in Nagelsmann, will have to wait, according to Sport 1 in Germany.

The outlet make one thing clear, and that’s the fact the 35-year-old has yet to receive any offers, and that’s something that doesn’t bother him.

This is because ‘he doesn’t want to take on a new coaching job for the time being’, still processing what happened in Bavaria over the past week.

He, instead, ‘wants to take a break with family and friends’, and any new job ‘will not be considered until summer at the earliest’.

This suggests he could even wait longer before getting back in the game, but when he does, there are two destinations that would make sense for him.

The first is the Premier League, as it ‘definitely appeals to him’, but there’s also the door over at Real Madrid, where he could be seen as the ideal successor for Carlo Ancelotti.

Therefore, if Tottenham want a new manager in quickly, which doesn’t appear to be the case, then they might have to look elsewhere.
