Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Groß has revealed he wants to move back to the Bundesliga before too long.
The German midfielder joined Brighton in a £2.7m deal from FC Ingolstadt in 2017 and has proven to be a big hit at the club since.
He’s managed 12 goals as 14 assists in 91 appearances for the club so far, earning rave reviews for his performances in his first campaign with the club when he managed seven goals and eight assists across the campaign.
He has regularly been linked with a move to a bigger club, with many believing he could prove to be a bargain signing for someone at some point.
There have also, unsurprisingly, been rumours about a return to Germany, where Groß has played for the likes of Ingolstadt, Hoffenheim and Karlsruher previously.
The midfielder certainly isn’t ruling it out, admitting he would like to return to his homeland from Brighton at some point.
“I am now in my third season, and I enjoy the games,” he told Sport 1.
“But I also make no secret of the fact that I am following the Bundesliga very closely and would be happy if I can play in Germany again sometime and come back.
“I haven’t dealt with it too much yet. But basically, my attitude is and remains that I definitely want to play in the Bundesliga again.
“The Premier League is incredible, but I’m German, and I know what I have in Germany. So I want to go back sometime.”
