In their desire to strengthen their defence for the 2021/22 season, West Ham United have identified Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenković as a target.

Over the past week, various reports from the Italian sports media have pushed forward David Moyes’ side as the favourites to sign the defender.

On Monday, we carried a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, who explained the 23-year-old will say goodbye to his teammates today ahead of his impending move to the London Stadium.

It was also stated the negotiations between the two sides are at the ‘details’ stage, but TMW didn’t dwell on those ‘details’.

ANSA, the Italian press association, have now brought us the latest developments as they explain ‘only a few details are missing’ for the Serbia international’s sale to the Hammers.

The centre-back, who has a contract running down in 2022, had already decided against renewing because he wanted a move elsewhere and that’s about to be closed soon.

According to the report, the negotiations between West Ham and Fiorentina ‘should be defined’ for around €16m, meaning that’s the fee the Premier League will be paying to La Viola to acquire Milenković’s services.
