Transfer excitement is building at Juventus, and the Turin club appear to be at the stage of the transfer where many things are deemed possible and optimism is all around.
Thursday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has a big article on the possibility of the club signing Jorginho from Chelsea. This is a transfer rumour which goes back years and has, at times, been fuelled by the midfielder’s own agent… who is always happy to speak to the Italian media.
Gazzetta report Juventus official Federico Cherubini ‘has landed in London’ as he seeks to have transfer talks about incomings and outgoings. First on his agenda is a chat with Chelsea about the possibility of signing Jorginho.
The Serie A side are also keen on Paul Pogba, and the idea right now is to work out if signing both players is possible.
According to the claims, Juventus have been in contact with Jorginho’s camp for months, which would be to the surprise of nobody.
Given the 30-year-old’s contract expires in June 2023, they’ll be hope Chelsea would sell for a reasonable fee.
The Blues stance isn’t yet known, and that’s what the meeting should establish.
