For some days now, Atalanta have been linked with a move for Almeria’s Marc Pubill.
A report in Italy has mentioned that the move is currently in doubt despite the initial medical that was done recently. This has led to links to other right sided wing-backs.
Gianluigi Longari has reported that one of the targets is Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams, who has now spent two years at the club since joining from Liverpool.
The Welshman played 26 times in the Premier League last season, providing one assist. That consistency of finding his name on the team sheet has led to interest from Atalanta.
La Dea have had an offer rejected by the English side, who want a fee of at least €30m for the former Liverpool youngster.
TuttoAtalanta have also reported the rejected bid but they also mention that the Europa League champions will come back with another attempt for the Welshman.
Having said that, there is another player who is attracting interest from Serie A clubs, even though there is no mention of which clubs are interested and whether Atalanta are an interested party or not.
The player in question is defender Danilo, who is valued by Forest at €40m right now. So essentially, if the club were sell Williams and Danilo, they would want a package of €70m.
