Nottingham Forest have ‘made a huge move’ and are now the ‘most interesting club’ in the race for free-agent Serge Aurier.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who say Steve Cooper’s side have shown interest in the defender.
Nottingham Forest have been extremely busy improving their squad this summer, with a host of replacements brought in after a number of departures following promotion.
They’re unlikely to be done with their business with a number of irons remaining in the fire and one of them could be Aurier.
He’s a free agent after leaving Villarreal at the end of last season and is still looking for a new club after his deal with Unai Emery’s side came to an end.
Nottingham Forest have now shown ‘an interest’ in securing his signature and according to RMC are the ‘most interesting club’ for the former Tottenham man.
The outlet makes no mention of whether there have been talks between Forest and the defender, just that they are showing interest in him.
We’ll therefore hold off getting too excited for the time being, but this could be one to keep an eye on as Nottingham Forest continue to hoover up players.
