Fanatik claim Besiktas have rejected a €10m offer from Norwich City for their central defender Domagoj Vida after he was linked with a move to the Premier League side.
At the weekend there were reports in the Turkish media Norwich are looking to sign Vida in this window, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, it’s reported Norwich’s initial offer isn’t good enough for the Istanbul side as they’re only willing to enter into discussions with a bid of €20m.
The 30 year old reportedly doesn’t want to leave his current club, and is settled there and in the Super Lig.
Vida has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League for several windows, and things heightened last summer following an impressive World Cup campaign with Croatia.
There are also reports in the Turkish press that Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci wants Vida to stay as he’s looking to build his defence around the Croatia international.
Being linked with Vida is almost a rite of passage for Premier League clubs, so at least it shows Norwich’s promotion has been well and truly noted in Turkey.
