Turkish newspaper Fanatik report Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup wants to follow in the footsteps of his former teammate Cenk Tosun and play in the Premier League.
The 24 year old has yet to extend his current Besiktas contract, and subsequently has been linked with Newcastle United in the past week.
Ozyakup and Tosun enjoyed a decent partnership whilst at Besiktas and were pivotal in the Turkish side’s back to back league titles.
The pair get on well and Ozyakup continuously writes about about the Everton forward on social media.
Last month we covered reports from the Turkish media that Newcastle United are the latest Premier League side to be keen on Ozyakup after reports of Everton and Arsenal interest.
Newcastle United can speak to Ozyakup about his a pre contract agreement and possibly sign the Turkey international in the next window on a free transfer.
Besiktas are so far refusing to meet the player’s demands and he could be set to leave at the end of the season.
