Maybe the recent news claiming Inter Milan fullback Dalbert is ready to be sold in the next transfer window has jumped the gun a little bit.

Reports from Italy have been saying the player has many pretenders in Europe, including Leicester City in the Premier League, and could be bought for less than €10m when the summer window comes.

But his situation at the Serie A side is still to be defined, Sport Witness has learned.

Sources say Inter Milan will wait until the end of the season before making a decision on Dalbert’s future. For now, the club aren’t involved in any kind of negotiations for the 24-year-old’s departure.

There’s a possibility that he will be loaned to gain more experience somewhere else, with a really smaller chance of a permanent deal now. For a club with the aspirations of Leicester City, maybe this isn’t a very attractive offer.

Dalbert joined Inter Milan on a €20m deal from French side Nice last summer. But he hasn’t been able to settle in well at the Serie A side so far, making only 13 appearances this season.

In case of a Leicester City transfer, Dalbert would reunite with manager Claude Puel, who he worked with during his time at Nice.
