Newcastle United would be the ‘ideal’ move for Eden Hazard if he leaves Real Madrid and could give his career the boost it needs.
That’s according to journalist Marc Degryse, who believes the forward needs a club where everything is centred on him.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in the January transfer window as he continues to struggle at the Bernabeu.
The Belgian has had a torrid time of things with the Spanish giants since his arrival in 2019, with a series of injuries, meaning he has never hit the heights he showed at Chelsea.
In fact, he’s never gotten anywhere near them, and Madrid are now happy to let him go and get his wages, which are among the highest in the squad, off the books.
He’s subsequently been linked with a move in January, with Newcastle, who are flush with the cash from their takeover, presented as one of the options for him.
At the minute, it’s felt Hazard wouldn’t be that keen on the move to St James Park and has his sights set a little higher, but Degryse thinks they would be perfect for him.
“Hazard has to go to a team in January where they count on him, where they make him important,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws.
“Newcastle is ideal. All the balls will go to him. If he can keep Newcastle in the Premier League, it could give a new boost to his career.”
