Newcastle United have once again scouted a Porto game in the Champions League.
We’ve previously covered other visits from the Magpies to the Estádio do Dragão this year, as they’ve been watching the club repeatedly.
Now, as reported by Record, Newcastle also scouted Porto’s 3-1 win over Shalke 04 on Wednesday night.
The outlet doesn’t point out any specific transfer targets for the Premier League club, although they’ve been linked to a couple of players from the Dragons in the past.
Éder Militão, Óliver Torres, and Jesus Corona were the players whose performances were praised by the local press. Players such as Hector Herrera and Moussa Marega, both linked to Newcastle in the past, had a good game, and the latter even scored a goal.
Newcastle clearly have their eye on someone, it’s just a case of figuring out who.
The game also had the visit of scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Everton, Manchester City, Leicester City, Bournemouth, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Leverkusen, Juventus, Atalanta, Monaco and Lyon.
