Besiktas have decided to keep Kerim Frei and are set to reject the approaches from West Bromwich Albion and FC Koln, claim Fanatik.
Kerim has recently been the subject of interest from West Brom, and there was a good chance that Tony Pulis would be able to land the former Fulham man. However, after a series of good performances the Turkish international looks to set to stay at Besiktas for the remainder of the season despite West Brom’s interest.
Besiktas are currently short of options in the wide positions, and Kerim’s recent performances have certainly convinced manager Senol Gunes that he’ll remain at the club for the time being.
Besiktas are also currently considering their options ahead of the winter transfer window and their president Fikret Orman has revealed they’re looking at least two signings to boost their chances in the Europa League.
As well as their European ambitions Besiktas are also the joint-leaders in the Turkish Super League currently, and subsequently they aren’t prepared let Kerim Frei join West Brom.
Kerim spent a loan spell with Cardiff City before the move to Besiktas for €3.15 million in 2015. He’s played nine games this season for Besiktas, scoring three goals.
