While Tiemoué Bakayoko has made it very clear he wants to return to Milan, there are other clubs interested in his services.
The Chelsea man doesn’t fit into Frank Lampard’s plans at Stamford Bridge, and with a contract expiring relatively soon (2022), the Blues want to recoup some of their original expenditure.
Milan have been in talks with them over a move, but the Italian side are said to be wanting to wait for their asking price to go down first.
This has given Lyon in France the chance to wiggle their way into the action, according to French journalist Saber Desfarges, who reported the news on Monday.

Taking to Twitter, he said that while Milan are moving for the defensive midfielder with Paolo Maldini at the helm of the operation, the Ligue 1 club have now ‘entered the dance’.
It’s said Lyon have contacted both Chelsea and the player’s entourage, although there are no details about what was said.
As for Bakayoko in all this, he’s currently in London and is expected to return to training at Cobham on August 23rd.
