Steven Nzonzi will be leaving Sevilla at some point this transfer window, that almost seems like a certainty.
What hasn’t been established, however, is where the World Cup champion will end up, as a handful of clubs are after his services, with some capable of paying him more money than others.
That’s why the 29-year-old is ready to wait a while before making his decision, as he’d like to cash in on his new status if possible, meaning a move to the Premier League where Arsenal and Everton are said to be interested.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Nzonzi, who is also a target for Roma, will sit around for the next eight days in case the Gunners or the Toffees decide to trigger his release clause and offer the €4m/year he’d be looking for.
Should that fail to materialise, then the defensive midfielder will consider joining Roma, who are prepared to offer him ‘only’ €3m/year.
Not an awful life, being Steven Nzonzi, is it?
Come on, Unai Emery and Marco Silva, make a (not so) young kid from Colombes’ dreams come true.
