It seems that Chelsea loanee Nathan didn’t need much time to impress at Belenenses. Playing for the Portuguese side since January, the winger has already convinced the Lisbon club he deserves to stay there for longer, according to reports from the local press this Thursday.

Newspaper O Jogo claims that Belenenses will negotiate with Chelsea and see if they can keep the player at least for one more season.

Even though the chances of signing him on a permanent deal are not ruled out, it’s very unlikely that it would happen, especially because of the big wages the player gets from the Blues.

Belenenses are confident that the loan can be extended especially because of the player’s wishes. He’s said to be pretty happy at the club, where not only can he speak Portuguese, but also has some Brazilian friends in the squad.

Nathan has only played 228 minutes for Belenenses so far, in a total of seven appearances. But how could he impress so much? He’s already scored against both Benfica and Porto, which is obviously quite a big deal for someone who has just landed in Portugal.
